Our Mission
The Monterey Foundation has three primary focus areas, where funds and resources are directed to provide for needs and requests. Click the headings below to learn more.
Worldwide Missions
One of the main visions of the Monterey Foundation is to encourage and promote worldwide missions, where those of cultures different from our own may be introduced to the love of God. The Foundation may provide temporary or permanent assistance to churches in the support of missionaries, and to individuals participating in short-term mission efforts. Those efforts have included help for churches, missionaries, schools, and other similar efforts. We have also provided one-time donations to meet specific needs and to serve where we are needed.
Community Missions
Monterey Foundation also believes that much can be done in the local community in the name of God. The Foundation has provided temporary assistance to families and individuals in need of housing, food, clothing, and even medical care. We have also provided one-time donations to meet specific needs. In some cases we work directly with those individuals and families. In other cases, we have partnered with other organizations active in the community to meet recognized needs and to take advantage of opportunities where we can assist their efforts.
Education
Monterey Foundation may provide scholarship funds to assist qualified students in their desire to train for greater service in God's Kingdom. While those funds may support students training for ministry, they are not limited exclusively to those individuals. Anyone who intends to pursue a college education that allows them to become Kingdom workers and Christian examples. We can help with the cost of tuition and other expenses. This support is intended to strengthen the church through enabling God's servants in a broad range of endeavors. We desire to build and support individuals with strong Christian principles who will be bold for God's word in the world.
