2024 Fundraising Dinner
The 2024 Fundraising dinner was hosted by Butch Davis and featured Leonard Williams, an Operating Partner of Mulkey Hospitality, a local Chick-fil-A franchisee. Gwen Warren also spoke about a family that the Monterey Foundation had helped during a crisis time during 2023, and who are now able to move on to a more stable future because of that assistance. A good crowd was there to enjoy the meal, the presentation, and the auction. Overall, this year’s fundraising effort brought in close to $90,000 for the Foundation to use in its Kingdom oriented work.

2022 Fundraising Dinner
On March 29, 2022, Lindsey Holt, author, and daughter of David & Becky Roach, was our keynote speaker at our dinner event. Starting at 6:30pm, met at Monterey Church of Christ, 6111 82nd Street, Lubbock Texas.
We were pleased to have Lindsey Holt as our keynote speaker in 2022. Lindsey attended Lubbock Christian University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She currently lives in Abilene, and she is busy as a full time mom and part-time editor and writer. Her book “Bits and Pieces” is a story of devastating loss and grief, and her personal journey through that sorrow, made possible only by clinging to God and His faithfulness. It is a testimony to how God can create beauty even out of the most hopeless of broken bits and pieces in our lives.
